SUNSHINE COAST WEEKLY PADDLING GROUP
BACKGROUND
Clint has been paddling for over 30 years, starting with his father on a double ski around 12 years of age that developed into paddling a range of equipment throughout Australia and all around the World. He has achieved an unrivalled level of success through paddling in Surf Life Saving, Olympic Canoeing and Outrigger Paddling.
After representing his country at 5 Olympic Games, competing in nearly 3 decades of Surf Life Saving and Canoeing National Championships, Clint decided to start helping all ages understand the skills and help them acquire the ability to not only improve their performance and compete in a range of events, but most importantly continues to help people enjoy the sport he has enjoyed for the majority of his life.
Being out on the water whether it is in the river or out on the ocean requires a unique level of skill and understanding the environment, so that safety and enjoyment can help each individual maximise their experience of the sports.
JOIN THE GROUP
The group paddles together on a weekly basis and once you become part of the group you will be welcomed into the closed Facebook group that outlines weekly training and activities that take place.
Anybody that is capable of paddling on their chosen craft is welcome to join the group on a Wednesday morning for the river session that begins from the Picnic Point Boat Ramp in Maroochydore.
For more experienced paddlers that are looking for some solid ocean training sessions, the Tuesday and Thursday afternoon workouts from The Spit Beach in Mooloolaba, will offer you a great challenge.
There is a great culture that exists through a large range of paddling age groups and abilities, that includes a regular breakfast catch up after the Wednesday morning session.
